Redesign and redevelop a comprehensive 300+ page website to enhance speed, performance, and user experience, ensuring the current on-page SEO remains unaltered. Transition from Divi to a more streamlined platform by crafting a custom WordPress Full-Site Editor block theme from the ground up.

My Process

Utilizing the Sketch app, I meticulously designed the site layout, then developed a custom WordPress Block Theme based on the mockups. This involved crafting a theme.json file to ensure consistent brand styling, constructing block patterns for versatile page-building elements, and developing a specialized React multi-block plugin to refine existing WP blocks and forge new ones tailored to the MUC brand's requirements.

The Results

• The website's speed experienced a staggering three-fold enhancement.
• The site's customization capabilities were supercharged, equipped with bespoke MUC blocks and page blueprints.
• The mobile interface transitioned from cluttered and disjointed to sleek and fluid.
• A total of 19 redundant plugins were eliminated, and the WP Admin dashboard was meticulously organized, featuring custom post types for a streamlined editorial process.

My Process

After partnering with the designer to refine the mockups, I developed a custom WordPress theme from the ground up tailored to the brand's needs, emphasizing an intuitive backend experience. Each distinct page design was matched with a corresponding template. These templates came equipped with custom fields, allowing editors to effortlessly integrate text, imagery, and videos while preserving the page's aesthetic integrity.

• The bespoke Phase 5 Analytics website was engineered for rapid loading times; averaging 500ms per page load.
• Custom fields empowered editors with the flexibility to manage content and introduce new pages with a user-friendly interface, ensuring brand fidelity with minimal effort.

Collaborate with the development team to finalize a custom website for the Weil Foot & Ankle Institute. Needed features include integrating WooCommerce for a medical store, incorporating an appointment booking system for offices in multiple locations, crafting a Weil Provider finder engine, and more.

My Process

Upon understanding that the team utilized the Timber/Twig templating engine, I rapidly acclimated myself with it and immersed into the development phase. My involvement led to the streamlining and refactoring of over 80 distinct PHP page templates and a multitude of CSS files, prepping the site for a successful launch.

The Results

• Three weeks after my integration into the team, we successfully completed all features and proudly launched the Weil Foot & Ankle Institute's website.
• We strategically reorganized the assets, making it intuitively accessible for subsequent teams, facilitating the site's sustained growth and development.

My Process

I initiated the project by constructing a new sitemap, followed by the creation of detailed mockups based on this structure. Then, leveraging the versatility of WordPress, I developed a custom theme integrated with WooCommerce, ensuring the incorporation of all desired features for the revamped eCommerce site.

The Results

• The restructured, redesigned website was not only much faster and mobile-friendly, but the website's SEO was bolstered as a result, leading to increased organic traffic and heightened user engagement.

My Process

I curated three suitable WooCommerce themes that aligned with the project requirements and sought the client's input to finalize the preference. Once the theme was chosen, I optimized the rowHouses imagery, molded the theme to complement the given assets, and accommodated the specified features. New functionalities were developed and integrated into the ready-made theme as needed.

The Results

• By leveraging a pre-existing theme and working within a stringent timeframe, the client was able to swiftly launch and promote their apartment rentals online.
• The intuitive website design facilitated the effortless showcasing of their properties, leading to the rapid leasing of all units in their first rowHouse.
